For example, a healthy adult can expect to pay around $55 per month for a $500K, 20-year term policy.<\/p>\n<p>Pricing depends on several factors: age, health, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term length all play a role. That\u2019s why I always encourage clients to consider applying earlier, manage health conditions proactively, and avoid tobacco to lock in better rates. For healthy nonsmokers, premiums for $250K in term coverage typically range from $18 to $32 per month, and $1 million in coverage can fall between $48 and $110 per month. By contrast, whole life policies for a healthy 30-year-old usually run between $274 and $305 monthly.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not surprising that over half of insured households choose term coverage for its affordability and straightforward protection.
